hello all...been a long time. well i have been chatting with some of the folks i know on Facebook about this and one of them suggested that i post something here to see what kind of response i could get. I have recently picked up fighting in the SCA as well as DAG and i was wondering if there are any hard suit fighters out there that might want to do some SCA fighting during some of the down time at the event. not really looking for anything big or fancy, just wanting to get the best of both worlds while i am making such a long trip. also not trying to distract from the DAG event at all, just wanting to see if anyone else would be down with some down time SCA sparring. best regards, Croix (SCA: Varukh)

Sir Croix, I don't know if he checks his posts often but Sir Martus of the Dominion is also a cross SCA/Dag fighter and while I am not sure if he will have his SCA gear, if he does I can guarantee he would be thrilled to do engage some duels, he enjoys nothing more. I will also see to it that there is an area dedicated to this fighting type since some of the SCA gear is illegal on the Dag field. We look forward to seeing you out there!

War VII was the best (gates/war, DUS campout, Holden) event, for me in recent memory. That is hard to do. I thought that the use of gold in the assassins tourney , looting and slave auction was great and really brought more to the event than just field battles and parties. War council seems like a great idea, I am really looking forward what it brings in the future. Congrats to Deena and Kulprit. Can't wait till Gates.
I wish we had and inter realm winter event, IE feast for something like that.

One was left in the weapons check area matching that description. Here's the link to the Lyonesse forums: forums.lyonesserealm.com/index.php

had a blast everyone. first out of state event and i had a great time. Thanks DWK for letting all of our Arkansas guys camp with you and hang out. I look forward to meeting up with you all again. As far as some of the SCA fighting...it didn't really happen (everyone i talked to had forgotten part of their kit ) but next time maybe we can get together and do some stick swinging. I am sore all over, but i would fight all over again today! p.s. any and all pics would be appreciated. I was told there was a FB group for the farm but i haven't been able to find it...

This was my favorite Holden event from the 4yrs worth I have attended. I REALLY liked finally having things to do aside form parties. I have some ideas to add to the gold/loot game.
And for those who knew, my son did NOT have the measles, it turned out to be a severe allergic reaction, but we have yet to figure out what set it off. Also, We got stikky's truck fixed and got home, special thanks to Bard for the ride to Warrensburg, and Eldrin for hauling our gear for us.
This was Stikky's first event, and he siad that it felt like a family re-union with only the family you liked and the crotchety old grandpa everyone wishes they could drowned... I think he meant me... the bastich...

I just saw it in the corner of my living room this morning. Also Croix! I'll make sure Martus and I have our shat together and we can do some hard combat at Gates or sooner. I know my friend Lumberjack wanted to get in on it. Next time we just need to be more prepared. Also to say WAR WAS AWESOME! Thanks to everyone who attended and helped put on the event. Here's looking at an awesome opener to fall fighting and hoping it carries over into next year.
