You drive to OKC for Dag... holy hells! That's like, a 4 hour trip! Kansas City is only 2 1/2 hours.

Gump and I were just in La Cygne today installing a new power system. We have a bunch of jobs coming up in your area. Have to get together for a little sparring!

La Cygne's also not too far from Pittsburg, KS(my old realms stomping grounds) and Joplin as well. Eldrin's down in Joplin, MO and can be really helpful in at least seeing how some stuff is run. Also.. Is Hida still in La Cygne? Hida would definitely be a big help if he is... anyone know? Tips: 1. Find a public place to practice. You may feel stupid at first, but that's how you bring in the people. Let people see you and they will at some point wander over and ask what the heck you're doing. 2. Get waivers. You can get a basic one off the website and you want to get those arranged ASAP. You look more professional that way PLUS avoid any legal issues. 3. Get 5 of you and sign a realm charter. That way you get your name out there, you can sit on war council at Ragnarok should you get large enough to go, plus its more publicity. 4. Definitely visit a group or two to see how their weapons are made, what they fight like, what kind of fights they run, etc. It makes it much easier. 5. Set up a website and take some pictures. People see you put effort in, they'll keep coming back. 6. Get garb. Otherwise you look like you're just guys hitting each other with foam bats. You can buy some online(garbtheworld.com), get some commissioned at events, or even have some people sew it off patterns you can buy from fabric stores if someone knows how to sew. 7. Get a name setup. It sounds stupid, but it makes it more real for those involved. Plus you'll need it for a realm charter. 8. Have patience. Realms don't become "awesome" over night. 9. Things to always bring to practice if ya wanna get started: Waivers, sign in list of fighters so you can see what you're numbers look like, extra weapons in case someone is interested in trying it out, a camera(you miss awesome times if you don't), someway to get water(if ya gotta bring a cooler and cups. If there's a water fountain near you, you can kinda disregard this), First Aid Kit, etc.(You'll figure out the other things as time goes by.. Duct Tape is useful for repairing weapons, sometimes its nice to have a copy of the manual of arms, etc.) If ya need anything else, feel free to leave messages here or you can even message me. I used to run a realm..hehe. and a lot of us here are veterans and know what it takes.

Yeah, you're more than welcome to come visit us in Joplin sometime. In fact, I think the next realm battle we're having is in Joplin. That might be a good time to come. But you're welcome to come anytime.
I'd help you out with whatever I could. Pittsburg has a Dag group, and I think they are starting to stir around now that the weather is getting better. They practice in Gorilla village next to the college on Saturday afternoons. If you're gonna go over there and visit, post on here and I'll try to drag some Joplin people over there for a bigger battle!

Sad, I live in Frontenac and I didn't even know there war a realm in Pittsburg... They stopped battle all winter and I don't think they advertise much. They are kind of a small group too, which doesn't attract new members very well nor does it generate Word of mouth. But, hopefully they'll get in there this year and kick some "A"! You should go out and make nice!
