Alright i have updated the prices and have checked out the bus and decided to go with the 27 and a half, flat nosed bus. Check out the first page and see the changes. Sorry guys for the miscalculations. But it is still true, that the more people we get the cheaper it will be for everyone. and everything can only get cheaper, remember the discount guys, I think it applies to the amount of people we get to go!

Still even at $143 it's still cheaper than driving my own vehicle, with the wear and tear on it, plus gas, oil, etc... true that. IF we can get a bunch of people, the left over seats (if we have any on the day of the ride, we can get people the seat to themselves, if they need it. And i hope everyone understands this is a School bus...hehehe. it will be a somewhat comfortable and nostalgic experenice for some of us. XD and i am thinking that when we stop to stretch, and the such, we may get a few fights going, ya know?

well i may have heard of another idea that will take care of the equipment problem. if we can figure it out tripod-pop has a trailer that we could pull behind my truck and the bed of my truck can be loaded down as well. this would mean a little more cost in order to help me afford the $500 plus in gas but that would also mean that we would be able to take what we need for the event without worring about space. just an errent thought.
p.s. this also is dependent on how many people we have going as well.

I'm not sure if that would be a feasible idea Morals, since the idea is to reduce costs, and upping the cost to cover your truck would kinda defeat that purpose. If the others wanting a ride want to do that then they need to weigh in on this.

Yes, we do. I have talked to the bus company's owner and they said they would allow us to park behind the bus lot. its a pretty spacious area, so I think it will suffice for our needs. anywho, we have the parking problem handled, and the such. so i need a rle call as to how many people are completely for this idea(IE who IS going) and an estimate of how many people are NOT SURE but still think they would participate, if they got everything together and in order. Thanks in advance.

Go ahead and put me down for a distinct possibility, I'm going ahead and putting in for my vacation the week of Rag, however I'm having some child support issues with the State so a LOT hangs on that....

I'm not sure if that would be a feasible idea Morals, since the idea is to reduce costs, and upping the cost to cover your truck would kinda defeat that purpose. If the others wanting a ride want to do that then they need to weigh in on this. Let me speak to some members of DUS who took a school bus is 03. Lets see if they need extra euip vechile. I think pole arms and some large tents might be an issue. If they say they got it all in the bus then I think it is a moot point. if they say we needed somthingelse for sure then we might do a pole of who have larger items and go from there. My feelings are split if we can do without great, but it is one of those things that if you go to do it then you just got to do it. Lyonesse had to just this last rag go and get a trailor hours before they left. somtimes there will be a couple that is taking a truck anyway and will rent and big trailor and then rent out room for like $15 buck per person. That would be great if that happened. Then those with more stuff can pay for that and those without do not have to.

just to point it out if Kyes mom were agreeable to it and the rental company charged a reasonable daily rate ( the buss being unavalible for a week) we could further reduce the cost of the buss rental by having his mom stay the week in ohio (I know from experiance) a decent hotel super 8, comfort inn or somthing similar is around 300$ a week for a two bed room (in case she takes kids, Husband) we would also need to provide for food and possibly transportation during the week (if we take a tow vehicle for gear that could take care of transportaion??) this could reduce the cost by anywhere from 500$ to 1000$ best guess don't hold me to it. quick math using the 65$hr with two trip it is 1950$ each trip thats the 3900$ or 145 a seat now cut the second trip in half to pay for the hotel, eating, transportation, and cost of buss sitting in ohio for a week guessig it will come out around 1000$ it makes the price 2950$ which brings the price back down to around 110$ a seat before unknown discount. just thought id do some math and bring the idea up. this idea will be dependant on both the rental CO. and kyes mom.

Okay, Update: Still waiting on some info, lot of it got forgotten for the holidays with all the hustle and bustle. But something that's going to need to happen before long; to ensure that this goes off without people ditching at the last second, we're asking for a down payment of half of the cost of a seat. If you want to reserve one, that's the process. We'll be opening a saving account specifically for the down payments, which will not be touched until the day of departure. We do this to ensure people have made a commitment that they wont feel like jumping out of at the last minute. We'll be seeing the company rep about the paperwork for renting the bus before too long. This is just a short update, Kye will have more details later.
