Hey everyone! So I'm sitting here wondering what I should put here, so I figure that I'll go ahead with some more info about Midgar. First of all, it's been almost a year since Midgar was officially signed into being, and of course that means an anniversary event. Details on that coming soon, and hopefully some/all/a lot of you can come *coughcough* Kurai, Skeith, Orrin, Ashalind, just to name a few *coughcough*
We've been growing slowly (apparently, there are a lot of people who can't handle cold in Oklahoma oddly enough), but more people are starting to join up and fight. As some have told me, it looks kinda stupid or odd at first, but then its addicting to get to kill your friends and try to be the best. We currently have anywhere from 5-15 people who show up every week for practice, and another 5-10 that come when they can (college schedules, work, families). In fact, the majority of the fighters in Midgar are in the 18-40 range with families. The teens are starting to jump on the bandwagon as well, which is great. Their energy and spirit is really helping to revitalize the realm and the fighting in a way I thought only events could achieve.
We also have several units in Midgar that are slowly filling up, and the two that look like their going to stand out more than anything are the Dragonknights of Midgar and Nidhogg (an undead/necromantic unit). In fact, we've actually been having unit battles between the two to gauge our progress. It's pretty even so far, but we'll see how it goes. If anyone would like to come check out the forums, see when practices are, or even come out sometime to visit and fight with us, you can find us at www.midgar.forumotion.net/forum.htm
Hope to see you guys soon, whether it be a national event, a local OK/MO event, or even in the realm of Midgar.
