Did anyone know about this or was there even one? I don't think their was but I want to make sure.
Also, if their Wasn't one... should we get the ball rolling for War?

Great Question!
I guess there was not time in the schedule, Moving forward. After Talking to Fafnir, Shatty and a few others this is the plan. We will have one online via tinychat soon. Shatty and myself will organize/ mod. We are thinking a Sunday evening, probably May 1st or 15. avoiding Holidays.
Before the meeting 2 things must get done. 1) some sort of mission statement that defines the scope of power of this council. 2) Who and how many should get seats or votes. Realms, units?
Go ahead and leave ideas here. We need to consider everyones input. Then we will have to find a workable middle ground.
thanks Percy

Being as the MWDU is primarily an event organization, I think that votes should be doled out by how many people your realm or unit gets to events. I know Black Company in St. Louis really only pulls 2-4 in the midwestern events (Most of our Company is based in East IL/OH), but someone like Stormwrath pulls 15 solidly to a lot of midwestern events. That isn't to say that numbers is everything, but realms that pull event going fighters should have representation for those opinions.
I'd say that we set Gates and/or War attendance as the standard of measure. Something like 1 vote for every 10 event attending fighters. If someone tries to dogpile more votes by bringing tons of newbs the events just get bigger, so its win/win.
There is also cross gamers. I know here in St. Louis we have Wisp and his Amtgard guys. They attend Dag and Bel events, so it would be good to get some opinions from their angle.
In general, it would be best to group people by realm and region. So let's take Missouri for example. We have a couple of distinct groups: St. Louis, Kansas City, Southwest, Central, and South Central Missouri. These realms are
St. Louis: We have 2 from Black Company/Esgaroth, 2 from Lead Mountain and 2-3 from Sol Invictus/Amtgard. Looking at the past few Gates/War, we've had up to 10-15 from the area at these events. St. Louis area gets 1 vote.
Kansas City: Lyonesse and Dominion. I'd say that Lyonesse brings about 15-20, with Dominion bringing about the same. Kansas City area gets 4 votes between the two realms, 2 apiece.
Central Missouri: Stonewater Marshes. They may have 1-2 out at an event, but they're relatively new. They can choose which area to be apart of or we can pull them in with St. Louis since they have ties to Lead Mountain.
Southwest Missouri: Ravenwood, VVS, Fallen Clan. Between these three, they field about 30 fighters (or more). 3-4 votes, denoted by realm.
South Central Missouri: Haven. I don't know how many these guys have out, maybe 10? If not, they can throw in with Southwest Missouri and see what population comes out of it.
So you can see that the Missouri Realms get 7 votes between the multiple realms. Expand this out to Iowa, Oklahoma, etc, etc. The downside of this is that Gates/War is in Missouri, so its a skewed perspective of how many actual fighters a realm has, but fighters that don't attend events really don't have an understanding or an impact on inter-realm decisions.
Some of this will get ironed out in the details of what Percy was talking about; the scope and purpose of the council.

Was wondering if there had been any movement on this subject. I am starting to get some people asking when war is.

There is a Tinychat meeting on the 15th (Also I believe there was going to be a meet-up at a KC area coffeeshop to get internets for said meeting). Percival is running the forum/tinychat but I can't recall what specifically the time was for that (I want to say 7pm but don't quote me on it)

I believe (Don't quote me on this though) that Percival will be setting up a specific chatroom for it and not using the usual Dag room.
