Shields are totally fine, but you'll likely pay out the nose/arse for the extra baggage. If you can, I'd just talk to someone wherever you're going and use their gear or borrow. If not, it's likely gonna run around $40.
Blues, if you can put them into a suitcase.. do so. If not, I've heard golf bags are good alternatives to bringing weapons cross-country. Make sure you have a Dagorhir flyer handy if questions arise - and search the National boards! Kyrax flies from California every year and has a fantastic guide to airline travel and Dagorhir.

good to know... doubt i'll ever fly to an event... can bring more stuffs in the car
also i've taken all my gear on Amtrak like 3x and no one's had a problem with anything... basically if you can carry it all unassisted you can bring it on the train ... done it to the point of it being so heavy i'd nearly be passed out after 100 yds of walkin

An airplane or aeroplane is a powered, fixed-wing aircraft that is propelled forward by thrust from a jet engine or propeller. Airplanes come in a variety of sizes, shapes, and wing configurations.
