What was it that hung in the air? Desperation, a quiet call into the darkness. Soothing zephyrs often poured out into the light from the cool inner-workings of their minds but ever and anon they worked; in accordance with the pact they had made.
Understanding was all they had wanted but the dark truths of reality were so much more then they had ever imagined, so much more then they could carry. The light can illuminate the darkness of ignorance but what is often forgotten is that it can burn as well. When it comes to matters of the mind once one has ascended from the depths of ignorance they generally can never go back; they stay in the light of revelation.
Excitement is the initial feel, the quivering existential presupposition that all this truth can bring only good. For all that it is truth is really deception; initial feelings of joy and awe turn to pain and torment, a burning unending torture that begins at the core of who you are and works it's way outward until it has consumed you.

If all truth is a lie, then there is no lie... For nothing is there to balance it.

Or rather, to make known that there is a lie in the first place.

There are lies, never any absolute truths. I only believe in one untouchable truth.

Then you statement completely doubles back on itself. And may I ask what that truth is?

Double backing is the premise of enlightenment. Understand all sides as true and false.
The flower is beautiful.
The flower causes ugliness.
I don't agree with Epicurian philosophy a a whole but it has some good points.
The only thing that can be true, God. Everyone seeks God in one way or another. Atheists are the most religious of people.

Atheist have to stick to their ideals more strongly then anyone, they have no god and no support group. They are alone, they have to have the strongest of wills. About the flower then? If one perceives something as beautiful it has to make other things ugly in order to compare. Beauty creates ugliness, chaos creates law, love creates hate. These are very basic premises of philosophical reason.

Oh, I quite got the flower thing. I was just wondering as to Athiests. But that doesn't make them religious, more so tenacious.
