Name: Atidamane Nyt Dunne Realm: Dominion of the Unconquered Sun Unit: Iron Wolves
Primary Weapon/Combo: Flourentine Blue Swords Why? This was my original combo when I joined into Dagorhir. It's something that I am very comfortable with. The ability to diversify between a constant flurry of blades, on into a defensive, posturing stance is an excellent way to confuse an opponent and find a weakness in their attack or defense.
Second Weapon/Combo: Double-sided blue & green Quarterstaff Why? Two sided for the ability to have two ends to wield as a weapon. The length of the weapon gives an ease for defending or confusing an enemy.
Tertiary Weapon/Combo: Blue Sword and Buckler Why? A blue sword is typically light enough to wield quickly, and a buckler is a shield that is small enough to maneuver without difficulty, and it is a priceless ability to strap it onto the off-side and still leave a hand open to occasionally slip in a rock or javelin.

Primary Weapon/Combo: short axe and medium sword Why?: Both weapons are viable for my character to use. using them together with no shield is slightly more iffy, but eh. I like it, I'm good at it. I've been fighting with this combo for about a year now, since I picked Dag up again after a break of a couple years.
Second Weapon/Combo: medium size roundshield and spear (spear used singlehanded) Why?: this combo is fun as anything, and despite not penetrating armor works well enough in my realm where nobody can afford armor, or the time to make it. Plus, it's extremely accurate to my character.
Tertiary Weapon/Combo: Mini-red Why?: Again, a fun style, easier for me to fight with than a big red. reasonably accurate to my character. Don't use this much however.

Primary: Red Sword Why?: Was the first weapon I ever ran with, and during that time I developed some unique shots that carve meat very well. Tried it with a buckler but it interferes with my wrist movements.
Second: Quarterstaff (Blue/green), Blue Sword, and Buckler Why?: Because odd florentine styles mix up the battle and having three points of attack with strong defense is a wonderful thing.
Tertiary: Sword and Board Why?: There are some things you just want a shield for. It is one of the most basic and solid combos out there and I want to become a well-rounded fighter. My style will always lean towards reds and florentine, but I am trying to work this one up.
Also with any weapons I am wielding I will pick up any javelin I find and I am a bastard with them ;D

BASIC INFO
Name: Sirilay Realm: Efoloma Isemoo “Pointed Heart” Unit: Rangers of the Ilanese
WEAPON INFO
Primary Weapon/Combo: Longsword (blue/green) onhand, inverted short sword (blue/green) offhand Why? Sirilay loves this combo because it is quite versatile as rangers need to be. She can easily drop a sword and get in to grapple or scrap at any time, or leave one in an enemy, run away, then turn back to take care of her chasers. I chose this combo in part for roleplay (what kind of woods ranger drags a bulky shield through a forest?), but also because 90% of the sword & boarders I’ve seen make it seem so repetitive—only a brave few have turned it into an art, make you drawn to watch it, make it more than just a game. Plus I’ve always loved a challenge, and dual sword is certainly one of the harder ones.
Second Weapon/Combo: Archery—30# horsebow, modular arrowheads on aluminum shafts, backup short sword (blue/green) Why? In character, Sirilay does have a horse, and still the shorter horsebow makes sense for maneuvering the forests quickly. According to the store merchant, aluminum shafts have greater vertical integrity while carbon shafts have it on the horizontal. If that weren’t enough evidence, I took 2 out of 12 carbon arrows home from Rag XXII and 6 out of 8 aluminums home from Rag XXIII. The backup is because any archer worth their salt needs a backup.
Tertiary Weapon/Combo: 4’-ish axe (red/green), backup short sword (blue/green) Why? There is quite another challenge to reds, where you’re using the same object that you’re attacking with as a blocking tool—much different than using another object to block that is totally independent of your weapon. The red/green gives me versatility, helps keep my opponent offguard, and if you’re a red user without an offhand weapon, you’re rather shortsighted.

Sirilay, have you ever read R.A.Salvatore's Forgotten Realms books about Drizzt Do'Urden? Because in them is a BLIND ranger who drags a shield through the forest... and he pwns. However, I can see the point in Florentine.

BASIC INFO
Name: Whisper Moonson Realm: Guilder Unit: The Guard - Guilder Brute Squad
WEAPON INFO
Primary Weapon/Combo: Archer with dagger or shortsword backup Why?: I like to shoot people, and I'm pretty good at it. Additionally, Whisper is a hunter. It only makes sense that he uses a bow. It's not his fault that he keeps getting caught up in military operations. Besides, it's a handy thing to have when you're apprehending criminals or soliciting charitable donations. I've been shooting people since 1980 or so, with a 15 year break in the middle. Love me some running gunfights. ;D
Second Weapon/Combo: Spear Why?: Always loved using spear. Again, it fits with both the hunter aspect and the lawman aspect of my character. Y'know that 15-year break from Dagorhir? For 9 of those years, I was learning to use the rapier. It's nice how well that skillset translates to spear!
Tertiary Weapon/Combo: Red sword Why?: It's also a part of my character's background. He has a special, minimum red sword that he likes to use. Besides, when I was learning to use the rapier, I also took some classes in German longsword. It's fun, but not super-useful on the battle field.
I also like using two swords, sword and dagger, sword and axe, and sword and punch shield, just for mixing things up.

BASIC INFO
Name: Frosthorn Dekalin Realm: Aratari/Taurendor Unit: Urk Kuldar
WEAPON INFO
Primary Weapon/Combo: Large 5ft red, no shield Why?: Ever since I first joined dagorhir, Ive loved fighting with a huge sword, plowing through sheilds, and destroying archers.
Second Weapon/Combo: Spear Why?: Gives a nice advantage in length, then again there are drawbacks though.
Tertiary Weapon/Combo: Sword+Board (If absolutely needed) Why?: If I absolutely have to, I will S+B although I generally hate using a shield

WEAPON INFO
Primary Weapon/Combo:Round shield/blue club Why?:Sir Aster got me started with this. Shield works well for me both offensively and defensively and i prefer the club over the sword because I don't have to worry about making sure I don't hit with the flat and I find it more manuverable than a sword. Second Weapon/Combo:Red axe Why?:I just started using this weapon so I'm nor that great with it yet but the look on peoples faces when they see it coming at them is hilarious.
Tertiary Weapon/Combo: Florentine Why?: this is the combo I started out with. not to good with it but when there's a no shield/blue battle it works wonders.

I don't know how I've missed this one so far, but here I go...
BASIC INFO
Name:Agus MacKay (pronounced Mack-Eye) Realm:Dominion of the Unconqured Sun Unit:Iron Wolves
WEAPON INFO
Primary Weapon/Combo: Red Battle Axe Honestly when you see a large bald man, wearing a kilt and blue face paint running at you screaming his head off, swinging this like it was nothing, what is your first reaction?! Also I fell in love with the idea of axe fighting while reading David Gemmell's Druss the Legend Stories...
Secondary Weapon: Red Sword Have you ever sen Braveheart? LOL Honestly though I started fighting with a Red about 2 years ago and fell in love with the style and I like to think I have gotten pretty good with it.
Tertiary Weapon/Combo: Longish (38") Blue Axe / Scottish Targe First off there is the historic bent on this, two Ican use an axe pretty well, the Targe being a medium round shield comes in handy for bridge battles, and gives good manueverabilty. And then there is the fact that so many people automatically associate me with my Red weapons it gives them a little pause when they see me with a shield!

Are you still compiling the info ? ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ BASIC INFO Name: Crynolyn aka Othr1 Realm: Mordor (not AoM) Unit: Dark Angels WEAPON INFO Primary Weapon/Combo: Sword & Board. ( short sword, and round strap shield) Why?: Best combo for me, I can block, but I can still manuever. The strap shield is a good sheild for women, it works well with the way our arms are designed. Second Weapon/Combo: Single blue Why?: It's the most fun Tertiary Weapon/Combo: Herald Tabard and Camera Why?: to steal souls of course

This thread's purpose is outdated now but it has become a weapon combo thread! I swear I posted here when it first was created but i don't see my post. <_<" So I might make one.
BASIC INFO
Name: Skeith, <insert alias> Realm: lil bit of everywhere Unit: Army of Mordor
WEAPON INFO
Primary Weapon/Combo: Sword & Board. ( long sword and kite shield) Why?: Well I'm a mid range hybrid skrimisher so a long sword is good for reach and swift cuts. The kite shield fits my size and is what I'm molded to being a 6'3 fighter.
Second Weapon/Combo: Florentine Why?: if I'm not using a shield I'm probably running around with two swords, main being shorter than off hand. I like the light weight weapons and the gift of defense you can do by parries/blocks when weilding two swords.
Tertiary Weapon/Combo: I would say unarmed or red Why?: I love using glaives, I get lots of reach and the beast power to break shields. As far as unarmed nothing like taking a weapon someone then killing them with it. grapple+team to back you up=win
