Disraeli walked into the gates of what could rightfully be called her city and breathed in deep. The scent of sin was every where, permeating every wall and keep. Here in Suncera City, a number of services could be found. Need someone killed? Down on Toll Street, a man boasted to be the best of the best. Want sex? Almost every by-way claimed a brothel. And taverns enhousing liquor and gambling were not exactly in scarce supply. It was a place of beauty; it was the ugliest locale. No saints dared walk in Suncera, and everyone had a secret.
This was the place Disraeli loved most. She could walk openly in the streets in this city, for all that she was it's Lord. Every crime boss has a home tome, and the Khan was known here for her misdeeds and excellence in execution. For everyone one man here who would kill her as soon as look at her, there were six who loved her. And there weren't that many here who didn't owe her something. In all rights, this was more Disraeli's hometown than was the village north of the Wall or any place in the Free Cities.
"Ah, to be back in the City of Sin." Disraeli smiled wide, a truly genuine, and rare, thing. "The only place a girl is expected to be bad. What a wonderful, rich, and rare thing. Reikoku, this place is the gem of Dominion. King's Landing? Could never meet with this place for convenience. Dolanar? Entirely too high and mighty righteous for its own good. Duborah? Too damned cold!" She laughed heartily, entirely enjoying herself. "Gods, it's good to be back."
"Yes, Khan." Reikoku didn't know the city well enough to say, so he agreed to accompany her to her home. Sidheag had a rather large dislike for the place, much to Disraeli's chagrin. But that was the only true fault the Khaleesi had, so Disraeli pardoned the transgression. Instead, she chose to bring her Leftenent here, to share in the bounty and glory that was Suncera City.
Disraeli had a love and respect bordering on worship for the city. Everyone desires to be accepted and loved, and everyone desires a place to belong. This place was all of those things and more for the Mistress of Murderers. Her house was here, her favorite servants were here. Food of any variety could be found here. And the latter reason was why Disraeli was bringing the Court of Miracles back to its place of origin.
Food had been scarce in the Court as of late. Information was fast fading as the currency of the realm, and the amount of distaste Disraeli had for murdering made it nigh impossible for her to make that her major trade. But Suncera City, lain on a tri-fold of lands (sands to the southwest, ocean to the east, and forest to the northwest) made her a perfect locale for trading. And it was far enough away from King's Landing to keep the noses of the Nobility out of her business, which pleased Disraeli. The only true threat existed from Ravenwood, and there were mountains and a desert between them. Disraeli was not concerned about the Ravenwood Company or any other fighting group from that area. She most often found that if she left them alone, they hardly noticed her.
Yes, Suncera City was the largest jewel on the knight's chain of the Dominion of the Unconquered Sun. Every so often, a member of the nobility would call for mass overhaul of the place, claiming to wish to "clean up its act." And the City would stand for herself, disallowing any change. Its residents were one of a kind, and "North'nors," as they were labeled, were mostly content to allow the criminals and bad society live there in peace. After all, if they were happy in Suncera, it meant that they would not be causing trouble other places.
"Leftenent, let us visit my house." She led the way. It was not a modest place, by any stretch, and she only called it "house" so as to surprise visitors by its size. It was a massive, twelve bedroom keep. It hosted all her favorite servants and guests. She hated to be away from it too long...but duty called. When they arrived to her hold, she smiled. She was finally home again.
