The crisp night air felt so good against her pale skin. It was her time, when she felt at the height of her strength. Yet, she was hungry. Prey within the woods was scarce for her. Not that she was not a hunter, but that it did not suit her taste.. She stood, moving through the forest. Yes, it was her time, to be the predator.
Her travels took her deep into the heart of the forest, finally stopping in the center of the clearing. Her ears listened, as her pale hand moved towards her sword hilt. There was movement around her. The wind whipped her hair about her as she turned, looking slowly towards the direction of the noise.

Tormir froze. She wasn't human if she had heard him. The wolves didn't call him Shadow Bear for nothing. Moving his hand to his sword, he decided to wait, with bated breath, and see if she actually knew the exact location where he lie. He was waiting for a red stag to come along so that he could make some stew. Using his magic or even bow would prove easy killing in such a beast. But then he had noticed her and he was intrigued.
He decided that he would return his gift of magic to the earth mother and go with simple combat this time. Rising, he moved toward her, making very little sound for a man who stood 6'3'' and weighed well over 200 pounds. Hand still on his pommel, he moved into the clearing. The night was domain for wolves. He was no exception of this rule. Especially since the Gods and the Wheel had gifted him shape-shifting. And so many claimed it a curse...
He sniffed the air and stopped, his yellow eyes darting around him. She was definatly not alive. But she was not fully dead. That had many scents and this was not one of them. Finding both his tongue and his manners, he made a slight bow and gave a nod, offing his hat in the process. "Milady, I have not seen you in these parts before. And I tend to know those in my domain. Who might you be?"
"What might she be?" The sly voice was back. He had had enough of this damnable demon, intruding at his leisure and making snide comments. "Cram it, you b-..." He stopped, realizing he was roaring this aloud and in the woods. It echoed and he turned a bright shade of red and walked over to a tree, climbing his way up it a bit. Having done this, swiftly after asking her, he waited, figuring that if she had answered he had not heard it as he had been roaring. He grinned and awaited a reply.

Her pale red eyes followed him as he climbed up the tree. "I am Sabriel De'kar." she replied simply. Who was this man? Obviously, he could take notice in what she was. "I hail from the West." she noted, taking careful steps back from him. She did not know this man, nor was she any sort of familiar with him.
He was talking again, not this man, but the shadow that seemed to follow her. She looked to her left, at him, as he spoke. "Kill the man Ssabriel.. Do nay be weak.." She shook her head sharply. "No. Ye are a fool!" she shrieked, turning her attention back to the stranger.
"Ye have inturrupted my hunting...At such an interesting sight ye are as well." she replied simply, studying the man from up to down. Her instincts...So animalistic at the moment. Part of her urged her to take him, yet the other... knew the move would not be wise. The shadow did not help, and she was not even sure if the man could see him, no one had ever been able to.
And with this, she found herself at a disadvantage.

She seemed to tense, he watched her every movement, ready to pounce. There seemed to be a shadow....no that was a trick of the light or else his glimpse of it would not have been so brief. Ah well. "Quite the thing o' interest ye are yersel'." He hadn't let the fact that her eyes were red or the fact that she seemed to be as much an animal as he. Grinning he let his arms and hands transform to show her that she wasn't dealing with a puppy in case the tensing was for attack.
Grinning he said"If its a fight you want, a fight I'm happy to give ye. As it were, I was hunting myself. Red stag, that I might eat. Tonight is the Hunters Moon. I sense that we are not so different. Perhaps we could have gain in each others company..."
"What, you, a wolf, ally with a Vampiress? Ah... but you didn't know thats what she was... so sad." Growling, becoming more beast than man by the minute, Tormir roared, "SILENCE FOOL!" And then he cut loose a howl, connecting with Thunder Brook and letting her know they hunt was on. He fully transformed and leaped down from the tree, making a small crater. With that, he crossed his arms and waited. A 7'0'' werewolf with a smile on his face stared down at the lass and his yellow eyes seemed too surreal, almost human.

"And why should I hunt with you? Ye are after a meal that I have no taste for... I go for something...a bit more...robust." she said simply. It was talking to her again...It was behind her, or at least, in her mind it was, leaning up against her ear, whispering into it. "Sssabriel...Come now...You want to make the little man your meal."
She threw her head back, trying to shake this apparition that seemed to live within her deepest, darkest desires. "NO" she screamed, tossing her head to the left rather violently. It was there again.. "Sssabriel...Come now...you want to eat him.."
She looked sharply to Tormir. "Get out of here.. If ye wish to live." she spat, wrapping her arms around herself. She growled slightly, taking another slow step back.

Grinning broadly, Tormir chuckled and threw back his head, howling out a challenge. He paced around the clearing, mentally calling the pack and summoning down the fury of the Gods. "You really think you can best me? I know what you are."
"But do you really? One bite and the next transformation you WILL die... " Tormir chuckled and though back to the demon, "If she likes the taste of fur, let her try. I've been on the road with out a decent bath or shower for a full two weeks."
Dropping to all fours and preparing for a potential fight, he smiled and looked at her, daring her to move.

"I do not wish to harm you.... But there are other forces at work here." she said, taking another step backwards, her hand at her swords hilt. The shadow again. It was at her. Again, in her ear, whispering loudly in her ear.
"Kill him....Kill him SSsabriel." it whispered, so sharply in her ear. "Come, you want it. You would like to rip him into tiney tiny bits..."
"No.." she replied, shaking her head sharply.
"Kill HIM" the voice boomed in her ears, in her head.
"NO!" she screamed, dropping to her knees. She closed her eyes, her mind in a torment of confusion. She hissed a bit, her hands moving to cover her ears.

Tormir gazed on in confusion. She was clearly a tormented soul. What could he do to help her? Ah well, that was one thing. Calling to Leaf, he told her to bring him a villager, preferably female and young. And fast. If you can't beat them join them right? Or if you can't join them beat them... was that it?
"Ahhh ah ah! Feeding too are you? You know that...." Tormir growled. "I can feed if I want. I have control. Besides.... what else am I to eat? Silence yourself filth!"
Roaring, he bounded a short way into the woods and quickly fell upon an unfortunate young rabbit. Ripping it's head from it's body, he ate it in one go.
Bounding back to the clearing, he looked at her and growled out "You better be happy, wench! I'm pushing my bounds here. And you are going to get to feed. For a bit. Before I take my fill..."
The gleam in his eyes showed how animalistic he had become... Howling with glee, he bounded to the top of a 20 ft tree and stood there, the tree top swaying threateningly.

"Are you going to let him get away with that Ssssabriel? Calling you a wench? Come now, what have you brought yourself to?" the voice again, bellowed within her head. She shook her head violently.
"No, go away, go" she yelled, her hands moving to grab at her hair as she knelt on her knees. She bit her bottom lip, blood drawing from it with the force.
"Ssssabriel..come now, come now. Get him, my pet." the voice continued in her head, urging her chase the man down, and make him her meal.

Tormir watched paitently as a comely village lass was escorted back to them. If he had gone, the return would have been later. He grinned and then turned to the Vampiress. "You may eat first, but do leave SOME blood for me... It's so... bland with out you see" He sat back on his haunches to watch her feed and see if her attitude and mood would improve any after the fact.

"Don't go for the girl! Get the man!" the voice screamed. Sabriel moved, pouncing the girl to the ground. She sank her teeth viciously into her neck, almost ripping at it, as she drank the blood of the young girl. She drank her fill, leaving what Tormir had asked, before jerking her teeth from the girls neck.
She stood slowly, licking the leftover blood from her dark lips, walking closer to Tormir. "Good Girl." the voice in her head said, as she moved closer to the man. She grinned cheekily, attempting to run her fingers down his chest cheekily.
"Try not to make a mess." she said with an almost animalistic grin.

Snarling, half in enjoyment and half in surprise, he leapt upon the corpse. He tore into it savagely, eating his fill and allowing his pack to have the remains.
Walking to the edge of the clearing he stripped out of his shirt and cloak, laying his sword on the ground as well. His muscles rippled slightly, but not grotesquely((sp?)) and he sat down, back to a tree. He stared at Sabriel, and grinned. Taking a hand kerchief from his pouch, he wiped his muzzle daintily. "Thats better. Will you at least sit here and talk with me for a while?" He fingered the spot she had ran her fingers. "Or did you have something else in mind lass?"

"Something else? What sort of woman do you take me for?" she asked, taking a seat on the ground beside him. Her eyes wandered, staring at the tree for a moment, before looking back at him. "Do ye think I'm easy?" she asked with a bit of a laugh. She rolled her eyes slightly.

Something of his human side clicked and he grinned. "No, I do apologize. I often get carried away." He rose, picked up his sword and walked back to the tree. Sitting down, his features melted and then reappeared. He became human again. He was always human. But at times, he was more a wolf than a man.
"She can more easily bite you now, you fool!" Tormir was too exhausted to reply. He had been on the road many long days and wanted nothing but to talk to this lass until he went to sleep.
"I have to know m'lady. What will you do on the morrow, when the dawn breaks and lightens the world in her loving embrace? Where will you go? And will I see you again? I truly can see the advantages of a vampire among my ranks."

"I go where my will takes me. If there is nothing to hold me here, I do not stay." she said, shruging a bit. "I do not get burned by the sun, but I find its touch and the way it affects my abilities displeasing. I'll have to find shelter for the day." she said simply.
"What are you doing? He's inviting you to join his ranks!" the voice in her head yelled suddenly. She smacked the side of her head awkwardly, before looking back to Tormir.
