Eldrin's rules for roleplaying within the realm are as follows. This is mainly for clarity.
The main thing is to realize that this is similar to RPing on most boards except for this; these characters are probably long term and people play them in real life(so to speak). As such, the role-playing may in fact be different than what you have experienced if you have thread RP’d elsewhere. It seems that the main thing to express here is that we are being expressive about things we don’t have times to express at battle or events. Also, keep in mind if a post is a narrative on a characters personal storyline at least ask them by PM where their character is going. Malleable role-playing is very fun, but if a person is trying to tell a story about themselves don’t hinder them.

OOC. If you wish to make an out-of-character comment, please do so within a double set of brackets. ((This is an example.))
You may not take control of somebody's character inadvertently.
This is kind of goes hand in hand with being "all powerful," but you are not aloud to take over somebody's character without their permission.
No immortal or "all powerful" character traits.
Characters in roleplays may not be "all powerful" with godlike traits. This simply makes roleplays boring and not fun. "Boom! I blow you up. You die. You outta the roleplay! n00b!" Now, that isn't so fun, is it? If you ever encounter anybody that seems to be abusing their power in a roleplay, report the person to a moderator. I also want to say that characters should not be killed in most situations. These are living characters played in real life, by you. Keeping them alive is probably a good idea.
Post ONLY with roleplaying style, and do not mix in real life. If it is really necessary, then once again, use OOC!
Feel free to comment threads or stories, but it is not allowed to just come there and say "This thread sucks, you are a newbie!". That's just lame and immature, and will not be allowed. Please start another thread about a story if you have to much to say about it and title it the same as the RP thread followed by ((OOC))
Do not destroy the RP stories of others. It is their work they are proud of it. You should understand this. It might even be smart sometimes to PM them about where they want the story to go if you are afraid of hurting their story.
Players will try to get along with others. Cooperation is generally required for good RPG. Players should try to PM each other, should listen to each other's concerns, shall be mindful of each other's characters and behaviors.
When joining a story, players will try to get to know the story. Read past posts, go over summaries, review the OOC. Players should not jump into a story with any expectations but should know the story as it has evolved.
Take the initiative. These are your stories and your characters. While being mindful of each other, don't wait for things to happen. Make things happen. There are an infinite number of reasons that players might not post. Good stories have plots that are not contingent so much on characters but writing. Write as much as you want and take the stories where they have to go.
Be nice. Be friendly. Edit when you must, forgive frequently. This is just having fun folks, so let's try to enjoy ourselves.
