Tormir grunted and rolled over in his disturbed sleep. Not that dreams were a stranger to him nor disturbing ones. But this was.... it wasn't a dream, not entirely.
He was walking through a forest and it's beasts were the purest he had ever encountered. It's trees and grass and streams the most natural. But he could feel it. He wasn't the only lycanthrope there. And the other... the feeling of dominance radiated from him like a sickening wave. Tormir knelt on the ground in the accepted position of submission.
"Rise my child. Do not fear me. I am Malar. I am the ruler of all beasts. And I have a mission for you, my cleric. You must build a mace the likes of which only the orcs, ogres and barbarian clerics have dreamed of. It must be no less than 3 feet and not greater than four. It will be called Morgenstern. This is the Morningstar. For with out the day, there would be no night. And without the night, there would be little room for our kind in the realm of mortals. Do this my child and you will have my unerring favor."
Something cold touched Tormir's foot and he started. He woke and grabbed his blade without a second thought. Looking down to the nose which it now tickled, he grinned and relaxed. It was just Lo'Gosh, his wolf companion. He had decided to take to keeping a constant companion after the Vampiress had taken her leave of the company. And the wolves had brought him the abandoned pup whom he had helped name. He smiled, sheathing the sword and reassuring the young wolf.
The thought nagged at the back of his mind, but it was not yet day. He would rest. And then he could start to complete his task....
