((the story has no sence of time because for us then, stuff happened so quick that it would take 3 or 4 posts to tell it all.)
The weather outside WAS quite frightful indeed. The rain and wind was picking up at an alarming rate. That meant that the end was coming very soon. Tashum made sure that the ship sailed on the jet stream so they could reach their destination on time. Doing this meant that he had to take up as much power as he could. The room’s phantom decor was fading in and out as he pulled power to protect them for lighting and such. The compass was spinning round and round, which meant the Captain, would just have to guess where the final place was.
Below deck, in Bijin’s room, Cirrus sat in a chair with his head toward the floor. Bijin slid the razor over his scalp and let the hair fall through the floor and out into the wind. She didn’t like her love to look sloppy when he was doing his job. She made sure at least his hair looked right.
“If you don’t stop moving, I’m going to cut you,” she said as she finished up.
“How would I look then? A mess of a servant, that’s how.” Cirrus never took his hands from her side.
As soon as the razor was put away the captain yelled that they had found the right spot. The couple made their way up to the deck to see a sea of people running to a small handful of fighters. The person they were looking for had to be one of those few fighters left. Bijin gave Cirrus the command to go and keep the last immortal alive. A streak of sadness swept over Cirrus’s face. Everyone knew how he felt about taking lives.
Cirrus jumped over the edge as the roar of cannon fire came from the ship. Cirrus landed on the ground near the small group of fighters. Each one bore a bear paw on their weapons and gear. One of the men came at Cirrus but was thrown back by force by the Loomi’s will.
“I’m here for the one who doesn’t die. I am Cirrus." The group all looked at each other for a short time before a giant of a man stepped forward. He had to be 8 feet tall at the least. His hammer was bigger than anything Cirrus had ever seen.
“I’m Jerick. I’ll smash you like those who seek to ‘tame’ us.” The giant swung the hammer and crushed Cirrus like a watermelon. Pieces of the Loomi splattered everywhere. Bijin called him back into service and Cirrus sprang anew out of the mess of the last one.
“I’m like you. I can’t die here.”
“You are nothing like me. The earth keeps me. “
“And a demon keeps me. We could go round and round about this but I don’t think those men will wait. “ Cirrus pointed to the massive army that was before them. Jerick didn’t agree to anything he just turned and said something Cirrus didn’t understand. The group ran into the fray of men. Most of them died instantly but As many times as Jerick fell, he got up and killed dozens of men at a time. Cirrus let his lantern burst and the power flow freely into him. He finally gave into the calling of his Fire sword and let it burn his soul. He tore through the ranks of men like wet paper. He could feel the blood staining his soul. He knew that Bijin was killing as many as them because he could see fires and explosions far off in the distance.
None knew how long the battle lasted but the 4 immortals had made the humans lose all craving for blood and power. They left to live out what time was left with their families. The immortals gathered and talked over what was next. After much convincing by the kitsune to the giant, they agree to move on to the next world.
