We had a great event this past weekend, even despite the rain, and from nearly everyone who fought I kept hearing the battles were awesome, so first of all hats off to those who created and helped run them, it was incredible. Now we should continue such a trend. Whispers speak of the monotany of battles getting better, but not slowly. Well we need YOU! It is difficult for those assigned to come up with all of the ideas, and we have many creative denizens within our Realm. Anyone and everyone is able to take their idea to our Head Herald Witesh and she will run them, test them, and when all agree that it is a kepper, place it in the battle book for future reference. Please help us to make our Sundays totally kick arse, send any ideas you have to Witesh or speak to her on Sundays and lets get the revolution going!

No... no one is allowed to borrow my wheelchairs to joust in. Just making sure that is said. Despite the fact that I have two of them, they are still all metal, and still banned from the combat area.
There, that had to be said.

*sigh* ok yes, any ideas given, no matter how "stupid," must still follow the rules of Dagorhir combat as laid down in the Dagorhir Manuel of Arms. The Dominion of the Unconquered Sun does not condone any practices that deviate in any way, shape, or form, from the MOA. I think that about covers it... bring it on the brainless brainstorms of chaotic bloodshed!

You don't run away when someone twice your size and experience is charging you, and long ago I leanred that it's the best way to learn, albeit a very gutsy way As for the pixie battle, for the last time it wasn't my idea! lol I didn't help by sacntioning it and changing the rules every few seconds, but when people keep saying, "hey do this," "hey do that," I was like, hmm... Now to alter the rules so this one ends quickly... lol I promise that none so sucky shall happen for many a moon however

Oh that, yeah i'm not really the sort to run from a battle, in fact i usually go for the big experienced people first for they tend to be the most dangerous against the team, and thankyou again.. also the pixie battle i found wasn't completely bad but the arrows and the changing of the rules was the only bad thing, actually a village riverbattle might be cool have two buildings on each side of a river and the team with the most buildings after a certain amount of time or first to all 4 might be fun..just no pixies.

It's alright Dev. I'm confident that you won't make the same mistake twice. I know that I definitely was amused from watching the chaos, for about 15 seconds. As a point of advice:
Making anyone completely invincible isn't a good thing... especially when the people on the sidelines can watch the complete cheese of women skipping about and tapping fighters on the back, just because they don't want a head-on fight. That sort of cheese is fragrant and aromatic... not unlike gouda, or meunster.
Next time, strap bullseyes to the backs of the cheese and watch as they end up to be giant, moving targets.

I would assume invicible pixies suk as much for the pixies as it does for the people fighting them especialy when someone stands next to you freezing you maybe pixies would be beter off split in two groups on to atttack each team and rezing I say two groups because I have seen pixies one side a battle.... also it kinda seems like we need some rules set as regular rules like how a knight can cross a river or arrows through walls simple things like that and then use the same rules more commonly...just an idea

Ugh, yes.. as a pixie I thoroughly hated it. Especially the fact that I was wearing armor and anyone could tap me *once* or single green me and stun me. "Hey that's single green!" "Hey it doesn't matter!" I was so frustrated I just stood there by the end of it, I was ready to walk off the field. But I know it wasn't your fault darlin'. It was just that half the field was told one thing, half the field was told another, and the pixies weren't told anything other than "you're invincible". I got griped at for not stopping when I got hit and had people getting ants in their trousers thinking I wasn't playing nice when we weren't told we were stun-able. Anywho, I agree with Johni. Keeping a "set" of rules for certain scenarios (like, rivers, black knights) and certain rules pertaining to like.. pixies, mad archers, etc (much like the MoA lists specifics on healers) might keep it a little more even and less confusing. That way it's "it's a river battle with pixies" everybody already knows knights get to walk/run/transport through water, pixies have x extra armor, are immune to limb shots.. whatever. I've seen probably 4 different variants of pixie battles it's hard to keep them organized.

As of yesterday the Warlords guild has been offered to Witesh pending her acceptence, but hopefully when it is active things will start to solidify, realm specific rules, battles, etc. And I will say this once more, I apologize for the battle, it I have fought worse and made what I could of it, but it will not happen again. Capice?

just from my point of view as what would be generally "normal"
Knights- Walk across river flags - no throwing; not a weapon; raise above head or seeable height pixies killable 2 teams one to attack each / only able to go in a designated area black knight- I think it's usualy 3 stone skin (that one is alot easier to remember changes) Paladin/necro- Heals living rez dead (again stone skin is easy to remember)
all I can think of at the moment...
an interesting battle we havent done in forever is a relic battle. basically capture the flag but the flag has magical abilities. I was thinking four teams using the two places we fight on top of the hill as the other two bases and each team having a black knight and a flag as long as ur flag is there you rez black knight just being the flag defense basically the team that capture your flag gains you as an ally die and rez at their base on capture so there isnt any confusion. if you dont hear about a capture and start hackin at ur new freindlies U'll probally be informed or killed quickly. or three teams third on being based on the middle of the top of the hill and giving the relics powers like more armor on a knight or a paladin or a necro. personally I like the idea of relics being secondary target
