Personally, I think dropping by Lyonesse might be better than scurrying around to try to find a new spot.

We could run amok at Lyonesse, but I can't go out that far because I've got Sunday night leagues =/ and I'm supposed to be running battle that day. I'd hate to skip out on it. And the site isn't far from the park, it's literally right behind the pool we park in front of.

If you still need someone to fill Kriggud's place I can do it. Won't be doing much fighting over the next couple weeks so if anyone needs a hand running battle I'm more than happy to help.

Alright - here's the promised information. If you'd like to mapquest directions from a specific location, the formal address is: Meadowmere Elementary School 7010 E 136th St, Grandview, MO 64030 Here's the aerial map from Mapquest. I added arrows for the geographically challenged The star represents where we will be fighting on Sunday. It's going to seem smaller, but that's just because it's not a giant flat of land like we're used to. However, I'm a firm believer that it'll make battle more interesting and not as drawn out by people running in big circles and actually being forced to engage. I will be there AT 12 noon (weather permitting, if it's wet I'll probably be a trifle late) and I'll need as many helping hands as I can get because of the hedge apples that'll need to be raked out of our way. I'd really REALLY hate to see anyone get hurt out there. I'll be bringing at the very least, a metal rake and possibly some extra equipment to speed it up. Don't feel like you need to haul out the lawn and garden section at Wal-Mart, 'cause just kicking apples will help out ALSO - the Meadowmere trail cuts along the eastern side of the "battlefield" - and I intend to use the smaller section for the non-coms, as concrete tends to shy off fighters a little better than a red strip of fabric. Plus, this allows any passers-by to have a "safe zone" where they're out of harms way, and can interact with some folks on the side and get an idea what we're about and who we are. If anyone has ANY questions, PLEASE don't hesitate to ask! I want to make this minor inconvenience as simple as possible. Thanks!

Hey Krystal... if you need a really good rake to borrow... I have a nice one. It's one of those huge leaf rakes. If you want to run by my place and pick it up, I'll happily let you borrow it and I can take it home on Sunday. I'll be at battle, even if I do feel like hell. I am missin' my realm mates.

I've got a real good sturdy rake (read- the entire head is made of metal ) but if anyone else (any of the Wolves, etc) wanna grab it I'm more than happy to have folks help

I'll see if our new page wants to help. *grin*
This is one of those rakes that don't get clogged up with leaves, and is made of the sturdy plastic. Maybe I can make that oldest child of mine help out... after all, he's a little page in training. *lol* However, I'm stuck on light duty for a couple of weeks, until my battle wounds heal up.
