Two figures stood on a hill, their shadows long in the setting sun. The first was a night elf, tall, with long black hair. His name was R'Haak Var, he came from a distant city named Taularil. The other was a minotaur, he was taller, long brown hair and the occasional streak of black. His name was Frosthorn Dekalin. As they stood on a hill, they looked out on the great plain that would, by the next day, be too cluttered with bodies to see the ground.
Two great armies were meeting, their purpose, to decimate the other and take back the land that they thought was theirs. On one side, a mixture of many different races, humans, elves, dwarves and the like. These were the Sorcalith, their king was named Lasgall Greywood. He believe that there was a greater cause behind the war that the two sides had engaged on, what it was, he was not sure. If they were to win the next day, they would take their land and be happy with it, their opponents would not be as gracious though. The other other side consisted of humans only, their soul purpose was to gain land in the east along the coast to further their shipping industry.
As the elf and minotaur walked down the other side of the hill, they scanned over the warcamp. Small fires had arleady been lit and they could detect the scent of mutton. When they reached R'Haak Var's tent, the elf motioned for Frosthorn to follow him in, tonight they would share a tent. If all went as they hoped, Frosthorn's squadron commander would not notice his absence and he would be able to follow along side R'Haak Var.
As night fell over the land, the camp bacame silent, tomorrow, they would go to war.
((OOC: Anyone else feel free to join up, I'm just trying to develop my secondary character.))

The star twinkled with their pale light, the red cresent moon shown overhead, The BloodMoon, it would watch over the army, it would guide them to victory. War is a savage creature, always present yet never really wanted, at least not by him. The BloodMoon he thought, "it shall guide me to the one true peace" He began his rounds. going from path to path looking for intruders. His nose pointing him nowhere in perticular. putting out the fires that need to be put out. very few people were up this night for the battle in the morning just mere hours away would take the full force to defeat the enemy. but for now he needed to keep an eye for the enemy less they try to make a surprise attack on their army. Tyr continued his patrol after a long time he finally looked up once again at the Bloodmoon, "plz protect us and the innocent this day." He then glanced to the Humans sides, they seemed to resting peacfully before the battle that was to take place just hours away, Tyr went back to his coffin and laid down, he would need his rest as well for the coming battle/

The sun broke over the hills. Two armies stood in the plains, silence blanketed to entire area. Frosthorn and R'Haak Var's plan had worked, they would fight alongside eachother, beside Frosthorn, stood another person, well, perhaps not a person. He appeared to be a vampire. Frosthorn turned to him and extended his hand, "Good luck stranger." "Same to you," the vampire returned. R'Haak Var tapped Frosthorn, the squardron leader was walking down the line shouting, "This is the beginning of a war soldiers! Today we fight for our lands and our rights!" The soldies screamed at the top of their lungs. On the other side, the humans began to scream as well. It had begun. When the screaming subsided, a single yell came from the side of the Socalith army, "FIRE!!!" Arrows flew overhead, more than half meeting their targets. A volley came from the humans, with the same outcome. The two sides charged, screaming wildly. The sides clashed and weapons flew.
((OOC: The Sorcalith army has to lose this first fight unfortunatly. So if someone makes developments to it, make sure that happens. If it doesnt, then there will be no point for this thread. ))

After the brawling had subsided, there were still many humans left of the battlefield. Only a few Sorcalith soldiers remained. The others had fled into the forest regions. When the humans had gathered all the remaining survivors, they told them to return to their homes and not come back. Frosthorn and R'Haak Var had no intention of doing so. After they had walked off of the battle field, they began to rally the others and told them to meet at noon the next day. There they would prepare for a surprise attack on the humans. If they were lucky, the humans would not have moved much further east and what remained of the Sorcalith army might be able to defeat them. They would have to recruit more men though. So far, they had only seen about a hundred survivors out of the origanal three thousand.

A lone Half-Elf rode into a small encampment consisting of about 15 assorted creatures. The Half-Elf hops off his horse and speaks to his friends and allies who were going about there packing up the encampment, for they would be on the move again soon. They stop to listen to their soft-spoken commander. "My friends, the Sorcalith army has been all but annilated on the field of combat against their enemies. We must aid them, for their enemies thirst for more land will not be saisted with just the eastern coast. They will push farther inland and north threatening our friends and families, if they are not stopped. This one asks of you lend your steel to their cause." Silence though out the encampment for a moment as the sun climbs higher in the sky. "We will follow you to the gates of hell Joseph. Let us go meet up with our friends." Nods of agreement ripple though the small, family esque band. Joseph his thin tall frame swells up as his dark eyes scan over the group admiring their devotion. "Very well then my friends the Sorcalith armies remants lie about a half days journey to the south east. If we leave soon we should be able to reach them before dusk."
