It's a great thought, except we can't. If we inhabit a University owned area, we MUST have reservations for that area. If not, they kick us off Campus. They won't just say "Hey, get out." They will revoke our Student Organization and we won't have ANY reservations at all.
We've already gave all that a thought, but we seriously can't do that. All I can really say is that we need to practice in the gym that we're assigned, and we'll just have to deal with it if any sport or intramural team is in there. Once the weather gets nice, we'll go back outside and get on with our lives.
We'd fight outside consistently, weather be damned, except that if we tear up the Campus lawns, the same punishment will befall us.

ah i was just throwing ideas out there coming from another perspective ... if the room is reserved for you guys and another sport or intramural team cant you kick them out under the same rules you have to abide by.aka [they have no reservation they can't be there]

Intramurals don't need reservations, because the University automatically gives them priority. All they have to do, if they can't be at THEIR reserved site, is call the Office of Campus Activities and that office will assign them another place for that day, even if it means bumping a Student Organization out of their spot. It's unfair, but that's their system, and we abide or we don't fight there. :S

Frankly, there's only one thing that I see the Univerity has ever provided for us that was good: the gym with the padded floor. However, because some asshole came into the reservations office and told them to cancel our reservations, we lost that gym to the Judo Club (that consist of like what, four people?). So, since we don't even have use of that gym, why the hell are we even worried about the Student Organization at all? If they're forcing us to relocate to gyms with concrete floors (which suck) and forcing us not to fight outdoors when the weather is wet, for fear of tearing up the lawn, then why are we bothering with it? And hell, for the past two weeks, even our concrete floored gym has been occupied by other sports teams because the University gives them priority over us.
The only thing they've done for us is let us use the padded gym, and now even that is taken away. I see no point in continuing a relationship with the University on these premises. We have several city parks we can use (and have permission to use Grover Park already). We also have a nice large field over at Kye's house that is readilly available. And guess what! If it rains or snows, we can still fight there! -gasp!-

That's a good idea. We've asked in the past if people wanted to change the day, but nobody said anything...but this might be a good reason to ask again.
I'll have Tormir talk to the Office of Campus Activities and see if there's a night that the Judo Club isn't in the padded gym. If so, we'll ask on Tuesday if people want to change days.
Remember, if you don't show up to battle, or get on the boards, you don't get updates. It'd suck if we change days but you weren't there to find out, and then try to show up to battle and nobody be around. Attendance = being informed. Kthx.

I'll get over there asap (like next week cause this week are busy ) and see what's what. It's in the Union right? And we REALLY need to get either a day change or a room change or both. Apparently some hockey punks were double booked with us. But they aren't intramural so it doesn't matter. We went to the gym with mirrors last time but I refuse to compromise again. Chances are if too few people show up or if the briefcase doesn't make it's way into my hands soon, I'll cancel battle if they complain again. It's better than wasting fighting time arguing and stuff.

tormir if you cancel I will hunt you down and beat you sensless in your sleep.
instead of canceling you could just tell everyone who shows up to go to shepards park( the one next to mazzios)

I'm still trying to talk to the park people about that.
I'm semi-against Shepherd's Park because it's in a large valley, and with all the wetness and the cold, people would be bitching and go home early. We have a lot of bitchers in our realm. :/
