i think its a good idea but the frist time that one of the poles twist or the tape is left in the sun and it flings a fibergalss pole at someone it will be the last we see of them id say for anyone that makes one atlest try to find a way to put a notch in for the strings missing eyes are icky lol

Have you guys even read the tutorial all the way through? lol Grom and myself started making these last night. We used 4 fiberglass poles held together to make the bow very sturdy. Everytime they instruct you to tape the poles it's five times around. Plus you do it on multiple accounts in areas to reinforce the bow. THEN you tape around the whole bow. Then after all is said and done you tie hemp around various parts of the bow to ensure the strength of the bow even further. I don't see it being flawed by a little sun. Also if someone is to half arses it, the bow will not work legally in Dagorhir. I will advised you follow the materials list. Grom bought light hemp instead of medium and it completely doesn't work. Here's to hoping I can pump out something cool.

not saying it is or isn't a good design simply saying Murphy's law applies to all things

yes i read it but as you alredy said worng stuff = fail like the hemp someone dos not tape it enough it might work for a week or a mounth but then break i think its kool but if ppl slack off as we have all seen in wepon making and shield making and they do it with some thing that might have a higher risk of hurting someone then thats bad

I don't think it has a higher risk than anything else brought onto the field really. As long as it's correctly made and not half assed. I think that goes for any weapon in dagothir though.
Dagorhir it's like sword fighting for the handicap. COVER EVERYTHING IN FOAM!

actually I'd like to point out that unless you fourth arse it then you're still not being lazy enough to make it dangerous. if you only half arse it the worst I see happening is it not being legal.

Awesome tutorial, If that image thingie worked, then here is one I made, ^^^^^ haven't tied any strings to it really because I want to test the power(or whatever) before I invest any more time. Knots are tricksy...

Looks interesting to me, though the 'pointing bits' at the ends are a bit scary. (even more so then other bows)

I already just purchased a bow, but if I had the time and possibly an assistant this would be so awesome.
