Well hi everybody... I've been talking to people on this form for a few days now, under the name "HelloWorld". I've decided to make an account named QTipMan for the time being due to the fact that the very first weapon I made STRONGLY resembles a QTip.(Heres a picture of it ***[well be updated, can't get to photo bucket, I'm at school]). I've also added more padding to it so it would meet the requirement(*** I'll also post a picture of the revised version).
witch brings me to my first question... One of the sides is, I think, about 1/2" to short. I'm really hoping this isn't a problem but if it is, please tell me.
My second question is a little more complex. What do I need for clothing. I have no money, but I do have like 3 white Tees that I never wear and don't mind trashing. Any help would be appreciated.

Hi! Without seeing the weapon, I can't tell ya how well it'd fare if it's too short. 1/2" might not be much of a problem.. does it have a stabbing tip? If not, you could probably fashion on a stabbing tip from a nerf ball and it'd add the appropriate length. As far as your clothing (or 'garb' - you'll see that word thrown around a lot if you haven't already!) for your first two months we're very lax about your garb while you're attending. Basic garb is very simple and cheap - especially as we come into the warmer months ahead. Neutral shades of sweat pants (dark greens, blacks, grey) with the elastic removed from the ankles are acceptable pants, and while we generally frown upon white shirts.. what kind of character are you wanting to pursue? An orc, for instance, might be very dirty and covered in mud, "blood" (hooray for tempera paint! Or fake blood if you have anything left over from halloween, or corn syrup and red food coloring... you get the idea) and you could easily turn a white shirt into a very orc-ish, goblin-esque tunic once you remove sleeves and maybe tear it up here and there. Just throw an old belt (or some rope, etc) around you and you'll be good to go. Alternatively, as it gets warmer - guys are more than welcome to go shirtless, as it's historically accurate - plus it keeps ya'll cooler. Later on, you can either make your own tunics - or commission one from some members of Dominion. Simple t-tunics usually run you around $5 - depending on what sort of fabric you'd like it made from. Hope to see you at the field soon! I also have loaner tunics if you'd be interested in seeing how they look, and maybe we can work something out.
