Well Gates of Summer quickly approaches! I assume we will be doing our regular meal plan like last year....however I wanted to ask for everyones opinion, I found a great source for Haggis...ok,ok, you can stop the groaning, it's really not that bad! AND I've found it in beef as opposed to lamb and pork. I was thinking one of the mornings (Sat or Sun) we could possibly do Haggis and Fried potatoes (hash browns?), and after all we ARE a Celtic Unit, and nothing says Celts better than yummy nummy Haggis! ;D

Yeah but is it stuffed with meat or organ meat , we could make that an initiation ritual , drink six bottles of my port mead then try to eat haggis the next morning. bangers are celtic too we could try bangers, boxty and eggs. and as long as we are talking about food how about a whole deer roasting on a spit?

I ain't roasting a whole deer on a spit... and I am certainly *not* eating haggis. Just in case anyone is painfully curious.
We will be cooking some large meat source though... for Saturday night feast, yurm. Friday night, I don't have planned yet, but it ain't organ meat anything. Ew.
Boudy said that she'll cover breakfast with various baked yums, and we'll make sure to have Saturday lunch of sandwiches and fruit down at the battlefield. I'm going to start spying out what looks large and meaty at the stores over the next few weeks, and give everyone a run down of what seems to be ready and willing for cooking.
We'll be bringing in lots of water (and some juice if I remember to grab it) and we'll have an extra mouth this year with Rohen coming in from Manhattan (yay!!).
Suggestions that aren't haggis related?

I say we do something simple. Let's do Hot dogs and hamburgers one night and Taco salad the other. That way non of us have to spend a lot of time cooking.
