So, I have been using a disc or tombstone shaped pommel on some of my weapons for a while, and felt I should share with the rest of you why I love them for spears. I have tried to write this out repeatedly and just succeeded to confuse the hell outta myself, and I knew what I was trying to say. So I figured it would REALLY confuse you guys. So instead I made a video and explained what I meant, and demonstrated what I meant. www.youtube.com/watch?v=mUP6wfaMeBIThis all is in regards to using the spear one handed. The pommel shape allows you to hold hte spear about a foot from the pommel, and rest the pommel under your fore-arm. This gives you more control, and full use of you fore-arm, biceps and bone structure. Watch the video and you'll better understand. This is all just my opinion, based on trail and error, and personal experience. use it or don't, but it has helped me ALOT.

I like the mechanics that pommel allows a lot. I don't use spear much but I will pass it on to people in my realm. And if I ever pick it up, might as well use a pommel that has some thought behind its construction.
