Can you make it to Rag this year? Too much time to take off or too far away? Consider hittin up Armageddon with Grumio and Solusar!

You are tempting me Solusar...Bleh it is much more affordable and closer. Plus I haven't enjoyed the fighting of Ragnarok as much the past few years. When we went to Wolfpack Opener I felt much more battle worthy. I may want to go with you guys but I'll only be able to decide after Gates to be honest. Ragnarok is an important experience to me but so is bettering my skill....pretty torn on this issue.
Could you post dates and location for the public. Also estimated costs wouldn't be bad either. Maybe with theses details I'll be able to (along with others) reflect on a decision. The Belegarth events sections are rather hard to navigate IMO.

Those dates are bad, it's from last year. This year is June 23-27.

And it's being held:http://www.stonehousepark.net/schedule.htm. The price last year was thirty bones so this year it should be less than 40.

I will try and make it, but I can't say for sure untill it gets closer.
As someone who hasn't been to Rag or Geddon before, what should I expect? Is the camping like what we have at Gates/War? Some of the info from last year mentioned a feast, does that cost extra/ what should I contribute? Is the >$40 cost cover the whole event, or does camping on site cost extra?
Thanks for the info, this looks like a fun event.

I'm unsure as it would be my first time at this event, but I can't imagine it being too different. I would not expect signs anywhere telling you what camp you're in though, that's a Gates/War feature I don't see often, but I sort of like. The ~$40 would cover everything, that's what entry fees are designed for. They take into the account all the little things in one convenient payment. I believe this includes fest, you can contact the event organizers if you need more details. I think Sir Bo from Rhun is running it this year. I'd really love to get a bonafide kill caravan going like we did for Wolfpack Opener. I want to turn the general conciseness on the midwest around.

The fee covers everything, including camping and feast. The only thing that may be extra is they charge a couple of bucks for extra firewood, if you go through your allotment early and want more.
As for camping, the site is huge, and you can pretty much camp wherever you like. Specific sites are set aside for those who volunteer at the park, but those should be marked off. Certain units tend to favor certain spots, so there's a bit of sectioning off that goes on, but typically somebody shows up early to save the spot, so you shouldn't have to worry about accidentally stepping on toes. For the most part, though, just throw up a tent wherever you feel cozy.
Bo is running this again, and he's a really amazing coordinator. If you have issues, contact him. He aims to please.

Armageddon is SOOOOOOOO much closer to me than Rag. But Bel fighters are scary monsters!* *That's what the Dag boards have conditioned me to think. Empirical data seems to suggest they're strong fighters with bad personalities. My kinda people.

There are no more dickbags in Belegarth than there are in Dagorhir. The fighters are just usually better, that's what makes them "scary".
