We may have up to two car loads of fighters again. But, if you still live in the same house, there is room for a match or two.

Not a bad Idea. I would like to see you dish-out a whoopin on a new/old/returned warrior we have. Sirche is back. And cocky as ever, dispite the fact I killed him in all but one battle and that one was a simo with me him and a third, I killed them both, but one got my arm and the other my leg.
He is bringing back his old unit members aswell.

yes to VVS, Skull is on the A.S.S list. which we forgot to tell you about.
We have a secret all inclusive unit, with open enrollment, and no restrictions.
It is called A.S.S. (Anti-Sluffing Society).
There are certain weapons that have barely passed WC, or not passed at all. These are A.S.S. weapons. When someone is sluffing enough to really piss you off, you go get an A.S.S. weapon and deal out an A$$ whoopin. can't sluff what knocks you on your arse.
We only have three or four A.S.S. weapons, and you know them by how the guy drags it like a cavemans club. lol. A large axe, the Skull mace, my flail, my small hammer, and Raslin with his glaive...lol that boy hits hard!
I know you prefer multi-shot combos to deal with sluffers, but here we have a few that still ignore that. But, feel free to instill your own A.S.S. if you need to, your new guys in joplin may find it easier to start with then the quick combos.
BTW, maybe we should take this to the Ravenwood forum...lol

True, one does not fight with a Bokken in kendo, one uses a Shinai. Nonetheless, we use Bokken to simulate our Katanas when practicing different techniques, such as drawing the weapon or disarming. And I also took Aikido, so he sometimes mixed the lessons a bit. ^ ~

in traditional Kendo, the Shinai is the only thing used. Every piece of the shinai has a purpose, and a history. The picture I posted earlier gives but a fraction of the names for the parts. This is not meant as an insult, and if it is taken as such then that is on you, not me.
But, if your sensai, master, teacher, liaong, or which ever he may go by, were to tell a Kendo student from a dojo in Japan, that he used a bokken for anything to do with Kendo, he would be laughed out of the room. As you probably already know, Kendo is closer to Tai-chi than most any other martial art. It is intended to be about the mental training and conditionng of your body rather than the combat side of it. Like Tai-chi, the movements make for a devistating combat style, but that is a added bonus, not the intent. If you know and understand the history and purpose behind each individual piece, then you have a stronger connection with the shinai. Only than can you truely, as the movies say, "be one with the sword".
Sorry for the rant, but I have a strong dislike for the westernizing of certain Martial Arts. The maajority of dojos in america don't teach you Martial Arts, the teach you the moves. This is not the same. That makes them just another form of self-defense.
I am not saying that your (insert teachers title) is among the westernized MA's, as I have never met him, and never met anyone under him. Just stating why I took offense to comparing a Bokken to a Shinai.
Friends still?

I was just stating that in my particular class we used both. And as for your westernizing rant, i agree ENTIRELY. I wish i could find a proper Zen teacher.
As for friends, of course! we'll just call it even. ^ ~
