Something I came up with a week or so ago. Thought it was about time to get some questions comments or concerns about it.
This is my prototype so nothing here is official. The map will be different and rules and battles are pending. Thought this would be a good way to switch up battles every week by doing one or two of these a practice.

Okay picture this, what if our fantasy world could be made tangible. By designing a map for the world of Dominion this could be come possible during battle. This map is made up of regions spanning across Dominion designed for scenario battles. Each region will have 3 points or "cities" that can be controlled by the classic foes Good and Evil. 2 out of 3 of the regions cities must be controlled to reap the benefits of the land.
Each region would give the controlling force a benefit during battle. Maybe the region is a mineral rich area that has many mines. This could give the controlling power an armorer during battle that could repair weaken armor during these scenario battles. This would give a goal for each force to control their "land" thus improving characterization and role play.
Each city based on it's location and area type would have a set battle type. Take the island city in the south eastern corner. Maybe during an encounter at this location we would conduct a naval battle. A naval battle would be it's set battle. Other place would have different battle types as well spanning from black knight, bridge, CTF and ect. This would give the city it's self a persona thus again making the roleplay of the battle greater.
Also like a real army you just can't assault a enemy force right in their home base. You nee to take on it's front forts first. The red lines would designate where you could attack next to a connected city. Kinda like a big game or Risk or a computer RTS (real time strategy game). Except the capturing of cities is resolved through dagorhir battles.
I think thats all I can think of let me know what you think.
