Name: Whisper Moonson
Age: 46
Aliases: Calean Mac Gealach, Brightspear, Cogar, Ruaidhri Mac Cuileann, and many others
Race: serial human (but sometimes elf or other)
Location: Guilder (DFW, TX)
Origin: Once upon a time, a tribe called the Trenebi led a prosperous life, thanks in part to their close relationship with the People of Art (a.k.a. the Fair Folk, the Daone Sidhe, the elves or faeries, etc.). Some of their neighbors got tired of being less prosperous, so they got together and decided to wipe out the Trenebi. The Trenebi had just enough time to swear an oath on their own blood and calling on the People of Art as witness that they would hunt down their killers and take their vengeance, though it take a thousand or more lifetimes.
As they say, be careful what you wish for.
History: Whisper, just like any of the Trenebi, reincarnates with full memory of his past lives. This usually makes for odd childhoods. He's lived in 1st century CE Ireland, among the Cheyenne in the 18th C, in 15th C Germany, and many other times, places, and even worlds. In this life, he rose to political prominence as Minister of Homeland Security to the King of Guilder. On a recent assignment to find an outsourcing provider for the kingdom's police force (the king decreed that nobody in Guilder could be trusted as a cop), he was arrested by the Guard, accidentally broke out of jail, and somehow was issued a badge and the rank of Guard First Class. After some excited discussions <ahem>, Whisper contracted the Guard to be the police force for Guilder. Captain Graymael then assigned Whisper to be the Guard's point man in Guilder, with the job of setting up the local branch and recruiting additional guards. Lieutenant Locke then promoted him to Staff Sergeant, a rank more fitting to his mssion. This led to more excited discussions that were resolved with a cache of whiskey and a hasty return to Guilder. So far, the king does not know that his Minister of Homeland Security and his chief of police are the same person. Or maybe he just doesn't care...
Appearance: Tall, moderately athletic build, short dark hair and beard (going to gray), blue eyes, fair skin.
Strengths and Weaknesses: Clever, tactical, been around the life cycle a few times, so he's hard to surprise. Sometimes impulsive or distractable, given to stubbornness.
Weapons Style: Yes. Primarily archer, but also likes spear, dagger, great sword, single sword, two swords, sword and buckler, sword and punch shield... Just about everything but strap shield. Never could get the hang of strap shield.
Alignment: Opportunistic good. Or good and opportunistic? Hmm... Really, alignment is out of whack. Damn potholes!
