Guys, I had a lot of fun Friday night, but I brought nothing that was water proof and everything I had was soaked within 3 min of my arrival. My tent didn't stand up well and I couldn't sleep. I did have a lot of fun, but I was too nervous about the whole fighting in the mud and slick grass bit. And I can't stand wet clothes. I can hack it for a while with wet clothes but before long I've gotta change out of em.
So I'm writing this to apologize for leaving, but to thank you for the fun provided. I didn't manage to stay the whole time this time, but Gates, I'm gonna do it. I'll have better stuff and be better prepared for any possible weather.
Respect and honor,
Tormir Aybara (Unit Leader no longer... I'm rejoining AoM)

It's understandable hun. It was truly a drenched, wet, soggy event. And the amazing part? We STILL brought in nearly 200 people!

That actually is amazing. I'm really happy for you guys. Cause with the weather being so nasty, nearly 200 is good. Lets all hope, pray, do whatever we do that Gates is a great weather event and will bring closer to 250 or 300 (Hey, we optimistic pessimist's have a place!...I vary. I'm one or the other, but usually really optimistic!)

I understand and I'm very thankful for the receptiveness of everyone on this. I'm just a little upset that I left. Cause apparently the fighting pwned face. lol. And I feel like I should have been tougher.

The fighting did pwn. But the camping sucked. Like I said though, the camping sucked so bad it was awesomely fun.
Like wading across the river at 2am to fetch Skeith a sleeping bag. Yeah, it sucked so bad it was freakin' awesome. The kind of awesome that only comes around once in a while. I'm sorry you missed it, I know we missed you!

I wanted to let everyone know that I didn't read any other these posts, but I do think War of the Iron Fish is a funny and apt name.

Hey Tormir... damn you... you left without getting your pants... AGAIN! That's it! Send me a forum PM with your address and I am sending them to you. I just about cried when I realized that you'd left.
You know how to get in touch with me.

I wasn't even fighting, and I still managed to get some serious scratches and cuts on my feet. Though, if it consoles you any, I think that Mystic River is blood bound to at least half of the people that attended War 5, War of the Iron Fish.

Yeah... just don't tell my minion hoard that. They tend to beat on family with foam swords, but only in places that hurt... like the back of the knees.
We really are one crazy, effed up, completely dysfunctional family.
