For all those who braved the elements of War of the Iron Fist 5 I present the following...
Storm War By Angus MacKay of the Iron Wolves
They came from near and far, Warriors one and all, With hearts filled with valor, They sought deeds of heroic honor, Yet the skies were dark, And filled with the roar of thunder, The rain slashed down like daggers, And still their fervor was not diminished, Rugged battle cries filled the air, As if to challenge the Gods themselves, The fire in their hearts would not be put out, Though the storm lashed out at them, Not unlike an angry titan, Though the ground was sodden, And rivers flowed like untamed oceans, They danced their martial dance, And while great storms, Crashed against the coasts, Like the fists of angry gods, They fought on, And at the end of the day, The dead arose from the battlefield unbidden, And voices were raised in mighty cheer, By hearty drink, And lusty song, Friendships were forged and renewed, Tales of glory were told, And boasts of honor were told anew, Laugh they did, In the face, Of this War of Storms...
