I came back from war in a "build" mode with a serious need to get my inner inventor/engineer on. So one night I was playing Rome total war I though “man, a ballista would be bad posterior for dag.” after about 10min I was convinced I could make one. I drafted a few plans for a ballista and decided hell why not a whole arsenal a catapult, trebuchet the works so I drafted even more plans and pulled out the wood and legos and began building. But then it hit me if im going to build these they better damn well be legal. So I was curious what the rules are on siege weapons.

There are no oficial rules on Seieg weapons. It is up to the hosting realm to decide them.

Dude... seriously. I can't remember who it was, but there was a mass of people testing out a bishin' catapult at Dominion practices about a year and a half ago. Who wants to be my memory here. I'm completely forgetting the name(s) and the actual dates. I think someone might have some killer pics though.

Tulkas helped test it out too.

See... I knew that it was *something* large... but I wasn't remembering *exactly* what. That's why I just put in the generic form of *catapult*.
See Skeith! You ARE good for something, after all! *grin*

More than that, trebuchets and catapults were allowed at Ragnarok, in specific scenario battles. Contact Greymael. His email address is either "greymael@dagorhir.com" or "graymael@dagorhir.com" He ought to be able to tell you who brought them, if no one here can.
It's an AWESOME idea though. And I seem to remember them working well.
