I think I could probably find a way to make it, problem is, i would question how well the blade would stay on. With the blade being at a right angle to the handle it makes it very difficult to make durable. Furthermore, what part of the blade where you intending to strike with?

it might be a little tricky, give me a couple of weeks and i might have a proto-type out there, we can see how it feels/works and if its what you have in mind

Mwahahahahahaha!!!! I know how to make good axes i made a pair of identical 2.5 ft long axes about a week ago. here is how i made it, keep in mind i made both at the same time
1) Make a mace style wrap on the top end of the core so it is 2 layers thick. the longer the wrap the wider the blade and stronger the hold 2) cut it flat with a long knife so that you have a half cylnder on a stick. 3) apply layers of foam on the flat portion of the ax untill you have the blade you want. 4) you can carve the foam to change the look, to give it a bearded look instead of a box look. 5) wrap a layer of foam around the flat and back of the ax head, meaning to cover over the layers you put on and seal everything in. 6) haft is just 1 layer wrap like on a mace, 7) Pummel is how ever you want
pros: It is realy hard to brake as long as you are only hitting with it. prity simple after you understand how it all goes to gether. head is very resistant to twisting off.
cons: the blade can rip off if you try shield hooking. this build isnt especially resistant to the core braking.
I know its probably hard to invision (ile probably have to make one and take pictures at each stage)
