I wanted to use a blow dryer to speed up the drying process and i was interested if anyone has tried this and if it works.

In the winter we put our Dap strips next to the propane heater. It speeds things up and it is the same concept. Hot, dry air should help to cure the dap at a faster rate. It becomes tacky by evaporating moisture into the air. So it should, theoretically, work.
I have never used hot glue to build weapons myself, but I do think DAP is fantastic for weapons building.

When the Night's Watch first got started, I spent a lot of long winter nights making weapons in my garage. Dap doesn't really ever get tacky below 40 degrees F, so I had to learn to improvise. I invested in a couple of heat guns from the local Ace hardware. They were about $20 a piece. They work great, and they increased my production rate tenfold. Basically, these guns are industrial strength hair dryers (as in, they can start a fire with hot air). I had to learn to be careful, because Dap fumes are not only flammable, but toxic too. So, I would say that a normal hair dryer would do just fine as long as you are in a well ventilated place.
