Well if I stab you as had as I want with a spear and it passes no matter how much it hurts, same with an arrow or javelin. Or a red sword. Greens aren't supposed to feel good, they just have to be safe.

Don't mind him, he's been necro'ing threads like he's about to bring about the zombie apocalypse As for the marine foam stuff, if you haven't dismantled it yet... bring it back to Dominion practice. I wanna check somethin' out on it. Grumio and I discussed the other day about how greens have a habit of being over zealously checked.

My good stabby sword died, and my other one does hit too hard because I had the tape too taught. But when I rebuild, I'll let you see it.

i found that putting stabby tips on clubs/maces is much easier to secure then swords i use about 4 inches of missile packing foam and compress it down to about 2.5 inches and it seems to work great and i've never had one come off/die

A stab-tip of mine on a standard box-and-blue bluesword has passed in Anvard, Aratari (at Mayhem), War for the Roses in Louisville, and Dur Demarion. It had 3/4" of marine foam double-sided taped over 3 layers of blue for the tip.
The pics in the first stab-tip method on the geddon page are not to scale.
