Hey there all you wonderful Centrawoven supporters!
Seeing as it's the beginning of a new year, I think it's time we get some fresh energy and ideas going!
First, as some of you know, the Dagorhir event, Battle at Badon Hill, will be featured on the third episode of the new Discovery Channel Show "Wreckreation Nation." This is going to be a huge opportunity for our realm, and Dag as a whole. The episode will air on the 20th of January, which gives us little time to prepare! What we can do to ensure we reap the benefits of this free publicity is make flyers and advertise ourselves as much as possible. Tell your friends, tell your family, tell your family's friends. Either way, get the word out and help us grow. Also, to prepare for an influx of new members, more weapons are going to be necessary.
Second, on the subject of weapons, our realm has been stagnant lately as far as weapons making sessions go. Now, I'm not volunteering a place to do such an event, but I would have no problem in coordinating and showing up for such a thing. Cinnamonster has informed me that Wal-Mart now sells DAP; a gallon for twenty bucks. Also, Kye, Tripod and myself have returned from vacation with a few new tricks for building. We aren't sharing if you aren't willing to come and learn! So show up, have a good time and learn what you can.
Third, a suggestion that I've brought up to a few people is that we emulate Mordor's schedule. On the first battle of every month they fight at Namaqua Park. Every battle after that is at Dwayne Webster Veteran's Park. If we were to fight at one of the more public parks, like Sheppard Park on the first battle, and then return every other battle to Marr, the increased visibility could help us increase our numbers. This is all a suggestion of course, and should be brought before the necessary people to be voted on.
Fourth, interrealm relations. It's been quite some time since Centrawoven has been raided. And don't we love to fight new people? Of course we do! But how can we expect other realms to take interest in raiding us if we aren't willing to do a little raiding back. The key to becoming a better fighter is simply fighting and learning from as many people as you can. That being said, making visits and raids to other realms would ensure the continued growth of each person's skill. Potential members are attracted by the sight of more people fighting. Raiding other realms helps them with that, and if it's done in return then we could see a potential increase in members for our realm. I don't know if I'm making much sense, but believe me, it's a good idea.
Fifth, Army of Mordor practices. This is more of a thing specifically for the AoM, butother interested parties could come anyways. It would be a good idea to organize a seperate battle day for the AoM when members could practice techiniques, trade tricks and build some better teamwork skills.
Again, all of this is open to discussion, but I think each of these would benefit our realm in it's own way.
So, let's head into the New Year with fresh energy and ideas. Let's build this realm as best as we can, and let's have a blast doin' it!
See you on the Field!
